Portland Latino Gay Pride Scholarship

Portland Latino Gay Pride Scholarship, established in 2012 by the Board of Directors of PLGP, offers scholarships to students who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT), or are the children of LGBT parents, who reside in Oregon or Clark County Washington, and need financial assistance to attain their post-secondary educational goals with preference placed on Latino/a candidates.  The deadline for the 2013-2014 school year is July 1, 2013.

Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce (HMCC) Scholarship Program

Since 1996, HMCC has awarded $1,222,850, in individually and corporate sponsored scholarships to 497 Latino Students throughout Oregon and SW Washington. In 2010, PLGP first participated in the HMCC Scholarship Program, sponsoring a $1000.00 scholarship award. The partnership continues, last year PLGP sponsored another $1000.00 Scholarship Award and in 2012, PLGP sponsored a $500.00 Scholarship Award. A portion of all proceeds from PLGP Celebration events, programs, and activities go directly to these scholarship funds.
