Portland Latino Gay Pride 2008 – Papis y Chicas has officially come to a close and it’s time to say MUCHAS GRACIAS!
We took a chance, expanding from one day to four days. To make it happen we brought on new partners and sponsors, created an amazing website and had incredible posters & graphics. We instituted the Mariposa Awards, honoring incredible leaders and organizations in our community & with Miracle Theatre, featured Daniel Guerrero & his one man show ¡Gaytino! Our Papis Dance Party @ Boxxes was muy caliente. Chicas Who Brunch brought together our community in such a special way and Sunday’s Festival was unforgettable.
Best of all, our diverse community came together! Because of YOU, your attendance, participation and support, we can take pride in our success. Muchas Gracias.
We also need to say thank you to Melanie Davis, Jonath Colon, Isael, Al Munguia, Israel, Jeremy Wilkins, Sheryl Weiler, Dan Pierce, Meesha Peru, Felipe Leon, Tim Krause, Tryniti, Debra Porta, Rafael Arrellano, Gemma Tornero, Enrique Andrade, Alisa Simmons, and David Zambrano. The time, effort, and commitment of these folks should be commended.
Even though this year’s events and activities are over, there is still a lot more PRIDE celebrations to do. Let’s support:
